BAINBRIDGE - The Jericho Arts Council (JAC) of Bainbridge is sponsoring 20 juried artists for what is planned as a month long, sidewalk exhibition of art.

For the 6th year, artists will express their creativity on unique Adirondack “Canoe Paddle Chairs” or upon petite child sized versions of the chairs and new this year, one “settee” (double chair).

This year the theme is “Sunrise/Sunset” and event organizers said you will be thrilled by their diverse interpretations.

JAC has provided the artists with the chairs, Golden Artist Colors has generously donated their exceptional paints, and they will receive a stipend. Organizers said because of the ongoing situation with the Coronavirus pandemic, we've had to cancel the Streetfest scheduled for May 16 and we've had to delay the placement of the chairs on the village streets.

But now the time is right and the chairs will be installed by 4th of July. Miniature canoe paddles painted by area young people will be hanging in storefront windows. Lots to see and enjoy while driving by or strolling around, still maintaining social distancing.

The artists participating this year are: Alexis Van Buren & Michael Carlin, Carol Lernihan, Christine Giuliano, Diana Cornell, Ellen Lockhart, Fran Briggs, Jessica Tefft, Keiko Howard, Lori Kellogg, Mara Sisenstein, Pat Cristelli, Rachel Hares, Rachelle Brainard, Robin DeGolier, Russell Luscomb, Sarah Green, Sarah Kauffman & Margaret Rutler, Sherry Lane and Wendy Reich.
