NORWICH – Experience the wonder of the season during the annual Holiday Open House from noon to 4 p.m. on Dec. 8 at the Chenango County Historical Society (CCHS) campus, located at 45 Rexford St. in Norwich.
“We’re excited to celebrate the traditions of the season during our annual festivities, which we know the community looks forward to each year,” said Historical Society Executive Director Jessica Moquin. “Thanks to community partnerships, we are enhancing this year’s program to feature special guests and activities.”
In keeping with “Holiday Open House” tradition, visitors have the opportunity to purchase delicious treats along the “Cookie Walk,” browse the many titles in the Paperback Exchange, and shop the Bull Thistle Gift Shop’s holiday bazaar.
Back by popular demand, the Paperback Exchange will host a visit from Mrs. Claus, along with free book and toy prize giveaways. In addition, the Christian Neighborhood Center of Norwich, otherwise known as “The Place,” will offer kid-friendly seasonal activities for the young-at-heart. Snowflake Artist Jim Baldwin will also demonstrate his unique gift of creating whimsical paper designs.
