Greene High School announces top seniors

GREENE – Greene Central School recently announced its top three seniors for the Class of 2019. Alyssa Ninita Acunto is Valedictorian, Claire Therese Moxley, Salutatorian, and Mallory Anne Fowler, the Superintendent’s Award recipient.

Acunto has been the class treasurer since middle school while also participating in Student Council, Interact Club, and National Honor Society. She was also vice president of the yearbook committee and was a member of the field hockey team, receiving the Scholar-Athlete Award the past two seasons. Alyssa has also been a member of Step Up & Dance for the fifteen years and was named Star Dancer last year.

Alyssa, the daughter of Dante and Laurel Acunto, will attend Ithaca College in the fall.

Claire Therese Moxley

Moxley, an Honor Society member since her sophomore year and president her senior year, has been a member of the Envirothon Club, Gay-Straight Alliance, and chorus. She is also a member of the Interact Club, serving as its vice president her junior year and president this school year.

A High Honor Roll student throughout her high school years, Claire has received Faculty Key Awards in both U.S. and Global History, a Citizenship Award her freshman year and chosen to attend Girl’s Leadership Day in Albany last year. For the past three years, she has tutored younger students in various subjects.
