WALTON – The Storm tallied two runs in the top of the third and fifth innings but it wasn’t enough for the road win as the Walton Warriors claimed a one run win over Unadilla Valley.

Walton scored a run in each of the first five innings and Ethan MacNamara held the Storm off from scoring another run in UV’s last two trips to the plate.

McNamara took the mound in the sixth inning and recorded four strikeouts for a two-inning save, allowing no base runners during his time on the hill.

Nick Lamoreaux, the Warriors starting pitcher, tallied eight strikeouts for the first five innings, giving up just one hit and two earned runs. Lamoreaux also did his job at the plate. With a lead-off double in the bottom of the fifth, he set himself up into scoring position to take the lead.

Lamoreaux was advanced to third on a single by Kyle Wright before he scored on a wild pitch. He finished with two hits in three trips to the plate.

The Storm scored their four runs in two innings of play on just one hit that was recorded by Cameron Osborne.
