Oxford boys move over the .500 mark

Oxford 3, Harpursville 2

OXFORD – Oxford moved over the .500 mark for the first time this season beating Harpursville in the MAC mini-tournament Monday.

Oxford pitcher Austin Crawford logged six strong innings for the win striking out seven and walking none, and Kevin Davis tossed a spotless seventh for the save.

Oxford broke a 2-2 tie scoring the go-ahead run in the bottom of the sixth.

Dylan Depew walked to start the inning, and Crawford reached on a one-out error. Corey Marshman then singled up the middle scoring Depew with the winner.

Marshman went 2-for-3 from the number nine spot in the lineup; Davis and Nick Neer added single ribbies, and Kyle Crawford scored two runs.

Mike Robinson homered for Harpursville.

Bainbridge-Guilford 7, Afton 4

BAINBRIDGE – Bainbridge-Guilford scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth to erase a two-run deficit in Monday's MAC mini-tournament matchup.

Kyle Hanvey hit a sacrifice fly to start the scoring, Trevor Halaquist scored a run on a fielder's choice, and Zach Ouimet broke the tie with a two-run single.
