OXFORD––Oxford Academy finished 8-11 in 2013, 7-4 in the MAC for a final fourth place seeding. they may have lost pitcher Andrew Golden (40 IP, 3 W, 2.43 ERA) but they have seven returning starters in 2014.

Sophomore pitcher and four sport athlete, Kevin Davis, is one of those returning. Davis pitched 40 innings last season, earning three wins and totaled an impressive 1.87 earned run average.

"Kevin has very good control," said ninth year Head Coach Chris Palmer, "he probably has as good of control as any player we've had in six or seven years."

Davis is six-foot-four-inches tall and he's building up his fastball. "He's tall and lanky so he gets some good leverage there." said Palmer.

The basketball all-star is still playing AAU in Syracuse three times a week. "I probably don't get enough sleep," said Davis. But the pressure of playing four sports hasn't hampered his ability to strike batters out.
