WINDSOR – Greene made it 10 straight victories this season recording its second shutout win over Windsor this season on Thursday.

Tiffany Borst scored 15 minutes into the first half after a shot skirted past the Windsor goalie. Borst tipped in the ball as it approached the goal line.

The Trojans, who have not lost a game to a Section IV team since the 2008 season, picked up the pace in the second half getting insurance goals from Jahna Driscoll and Katherine Klecha. “They played us tough the first time, and being on grass, it was a little bit slow,” said Greene coach Sue Carlin. “A lot of the first half was played in the midfield, but we countered what they were doing, and had a lot of scoring opportunities in the second half.”

Greene plays at rival Maine-Endwell on Tuesday.

CLINTON – At Clinton Thursday, Clinton halted the Marauders’ five-game winning streak taking advantage of a first-half scoring opportunity.

“We were certainly disappointed, and our guys left a lot on the field tonight,” said S-E coach Mike Rodriguez. “We had some great opportunities, particularly in the first half. We just seemed to be a little short tonight.”
