John A. Ernwein, age 81, of North Pharsalia, NY, formally of Oak Ridge, NJ, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024.
He was born in Queens, NY, to the late Albert and Marion. He was the first born of three, along with surviving sisters Cathy and Marian. John was an avid NASCAR fan and Ford was his vehicle of choice. His love for nature included birding, being outdoors and keeping an immaculate lawn. He worked for Stull Technologies for 39 years and Polymer Technologies until he retired.
John is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Sally; his four daughters, Cathy and husband Mark, Sueann, Carol and husband David, Donna and husband Jose. John’s favorite role was being a grandfather to Sara, Kialy and Liam. He is survived as well by many nieces and nephews.
To honor John’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. We invite you to celebrate his memory in your own way. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to The Nature Conservancy or the Cornell Lab of Ornithology.
