DELHI— The Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats returned to action on Thursday afternoon to continue a five-game road trip to start the 2026 season as they faced Delhi. B-G hung on to a 10-6 victory with the Bulldogs attempting a comeback in the bottom of the seventh.
B-G got on the board in the top of the first as Connor Davy had an infield single to short with one out, stole second and third before scoring on a dropped third strike.
The Bobcats added four more in both the second and thirdinnings and held Delhi to just one run in the bottom of the second during that time.
Davis Barnard had an RBI double in the second and Davy came up clutch again with a two-out RBI single before Anthony Cafasso brought two runs in on a single to center.
Davy also had an RBI single in the third inning and Cafasso again had a two-run single to left before scoring during Mason Acquisto’s at-bat before the final out.
Micah Casey scored on a wild pitch to bring in the final run for B-G in the top of the sixth inning.
Brayden Swartwout worked four innings and a third for the Bobcats, allowing four runs (two earned) on four hits, three walks, and struck out seven batters.
Anthony Cafasso came in and worked an inning and two thirds, allowing just one walk and struck out three batters. Connor Davy entered in the top of the seventh, allowing two earned runs on one hit, two walks, and had two strikeouts.
B-G (3-1) heads to Unadilla Valley on April 14 at 4:30 p.m.
