WAVERLY— Over the weekend, the Bainbridge-Guiford boys, both the UV boys and girls, and the Oxford/Greene girls’ bowling teams traveled to the Valley Bowling Center in Waverly, to compete in the State qualifiers following qualifying through good performances at Sectionals.
Bainbridge-Guilford senior Ryan Larsen will proudly represent Section IV from our local Chenango County area after he finished sixth with a total score of 1925. Congratulations, Ryan!
Larsen is the sixth Section IV all-star that will compete in the 2026 NYSPHSAA Bowling Championships over the weekend of March 13 at AMF Syracuse Lanes.
Overall, the B-G boys, who won both the MAC and Section IV, Class D, finished fourth in the state qualifiers with a total score of 8587 as Sidney/Unatego won the Section IV, Division II title with a total of 8836.
The Unadilla Valley Storm boys’ bowling team, who qualified after a second place finish at Sectionals, finished seventh with a total score of 7960.
The Storm girls, who won the MAC and Section IV, Class D, finished second with a total score of 7122 as Windsor won the Section IV, Division II title with 7544 points.
The Oxford/Greene girls took third behind UV with a total score of 7039.
