Lady Timberwolves Suffer One-point Heartbreaker To Morrisville-Eaton In Double Overtime

MORRISVILLE— The Sherburne-Earlville Timberwolves girls’ basketball team battled in a road game against Morrisville-Eaton on Monday night, but fell by a one-point heart-breaker 55-54.

S-E lead for most of the contest, but then was hampered by 32 turnovers and 16 missed free throws.

The T-Wolves did hold a four-point lead late in the second OT, but a final 6-1 surge by M-E capped off the comeback.

Morgan Mikalunas was a force for S-E with 25 points and 12 boards, while Peyton Darragh and Abbie Green both turned in solid performances before Green fouled out.

Aside from Mikalunas’ double-double, Darragh also posted her own double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Green added 10 points and eight rebounds.

S-E (10-9) looks to bounce back in their season finale this Thursday at Mount Markham.
