BAINBRIDGE - The winter/spring schedule in the Jericho Arts Council’s Gallery on the second floor of Bainbridge Town Hall, 15 North Main Street, has already begun with the artwork of Kathy Smith, during the month of January.

The February artist is Danielle Haney, award winner from the Fine Arts Show 2025. She is a graphite and colored pencil artist specializing in portraiture with a whimsical touch. The Gallery will be open February 7 & 21 from 6-9PM. In general the Gallery is open an hour before shows in the Town Hall Theatre and at least through intermission – admission is always free. The 18th annual Area Student Art Showcase will open on March 7 and will include the works of Bainbridge/Guilford, Afton, Greene, Gilbertsville/Mt.Upton, Oxford, Sidney and Unatego High Schools’ exceptional art students. The opening reception will be on Saturday March 7 at 1pm, and then that evening the Gallery will be open for viewing from 6-9pm. The following weekdays, Monday thru Friday (March 9-13) it will be open from 2-5pm, then again for a last look, on Saturday March 21, 6-9pm. Look for our new lighted Open sign. Please come and enjoy the fantastic works of these very talented young people!

The JAC Gallery Committee is issuing a Call for Artists for the 45th Annual Fine Arts Show. It is scheduled for April 25 through May 9 featuring work in four categories: oil & acrylic paintings; watercolor & gouache paintings: drawings, graphics and mixed media; and three dimensional artworks. The prospectus is on the JAC website and in the Gallery if you would like to share your artwork in this exhibit; professional and hobby artists are all welcome! FYI: Regatta Row 2026 is coming this April! The 11th Bainbridge Arts Trail with support from the Bainbridge Chamber of Commerce consists of Adult size and Child size Canoe paddle Adirondack style chairs to be exhibited outdoors along North & West Main Streets from April 22 till May 22, then live auctioned on May 23 at General Clinton Park. The artists have been chosen who will be painting/embellishing the chairs during the next few months. They are: Abby Barnett, Gavin Bocanegra, Fran Briggs, Donna L. Stevens-Cutting, Samantha Frederick, Christine Giuliano, Jennifer Grady, Sarah Green, Rachel Hares, Keiko Howard, Mackenzie Ingraham, Dorene Ireland, Carol Lernihan & Shey Revolinsky, Cyndy Weeks-Patterson, Katelyn Wetzel and Christopher Lloyd Wright.
