OV Boys Come Up Short Against Brookfield

BROOKFIELD— The Otselic Valley Vikings boys' basketball team traveled to take on Central Counties League opponent Brookfield on Tuesday night. The Vikings came up short 57-42.

OV had a slow start, where they were outscored 25-17 at halftime.

The Vikings tried to make a comeback in the second half attempting to match intensity, but could not contain Brookfield, who was playing on point the entire contest.

Lukas Schieferstein led the team with 19 points, added four rebounds and had two blocks. Schieferstein also went six-for-eight at the free-throw line.

Caleb Loomis added 11 points with two three-pointers, three rebounds, two assists, and a team-high four steals.

Owen Davis, Tommy Kenyon, and Konyr Clemens all finished with four points each. Kenyon led the Vikings with 13 rebounds and had three blocks, along with Clemens.

OV (7-6) heads to Stockbridge Valley on Friday at 7 p.m.
