MARATHON— The Oxford Blackhawks boys' basketball team snapped a three-game win streak in a tough 58-38 loss to non-league opponent Marathon on Tuesday.

The Blackhawks struggled against the Olympians and were down a player due to sickness.

Oxford was led by Nic Dodzweit with a team-high 14 points, where he played consistently throughout the contest and scored five points in both the second and third quarters.

Gordon Smith, who has been hot on the court, could get much going this time around, but at least put up 13 points. Smith had six of the team's 10 points in the opening quarter.

Marathon stayed strong throughout the game and had three players posting 12 or more points.

Oxford's Bennett Paden scored all of his five points in the final eight minutes as Degan Endress added three free-throws.
