Local Wrestlers At Windsor Christmas Tournament: Day One

WINDSOR — The 2025 Windsor Christmas tournament started on Monday, where local Chenango County teams competed in such as Norwich, Sherburne-Earlville, Oxford-Greene, and BGAH.

The tournament will continue today with two local wrestlers in the semi-finals. S-E’s Drew Telesky, a number one seed, will take on the number five seed, Jackson Zeller from Fairport in the 103 semis.

Norwich’s Maverick Beckwith, also a number one seed, will face Gouverneur’s Ryan Mashaw in the 150 semifinals.

Telesky received a first round bye in the 103 weight class before winning by a 18-1 tech fall and then a 19-5 major decision. Norwich’s Koltyn Collins also competed in the 103 weight class, where he had two byes and then went 1-2 with his win being by pin at 2:10.

Maverick Beckwith made the semifinals in the 150 weight class as he won by two tech falls. Teammate Jadyn Carpenter went 1-2 in the 126 weight class with his lone win by 1:50 pin. Bryce Wellington went 1-2 in the 144 weight class with his lone win coming against Oxford-Greene’s Colin Morlando by a tech fall.

BGAH’s Silas Greenman will be wrestling in the consolation round in the 157 weight class after falling in the first round by a 6-0 decision and then winning the next three matches with two pins and a close 4-2 decision. Teammate Colton Ryan had a bye round and then fell in two matches by a 3:58 pin and a 18-11 decision.

Oxford-Greene’s Kade Mustin and Urijah Dibble will both be competing consolation rounds today.

Mustin won his first match by tech fall before being pinned in the second match. He fought his way back with a 12-2 major decision. Dibble won the first match by a quick :51 pin but lost by major decision in the second match. He also fought his way back with two wins by pin.

Colin Morlando fell in both matches he had in the 144 weight class for Oxford-Greene while Donte Wrench went 0-2 as well with a loss by pin and by a 11-7 decision.

David Dunckel lost his first match but then won by forfeit before falling by pin in the third match. Oxford-Greene’s Jaxson Dicenzo went 0-2 in the 110 weight class.

Sherburne-Earlville brought 10 wrestlers to the meet, where Telesky was the lone wrestler to reach the semifinals. S-E’s Aiden Shreve went 0-2 in the 126 weight class as Alex Campbell went 1-2 with a 1:03 win by pin.

Andrew LaFrance went 2-2 with a win by 15-6 major decision and a 7-0 decision before falling by pin. Freddy Smith also went 2-2 with a :54 second pin against Oxford-Greene’s Jaxson Dicenzo, and won by 14-5 major decision.

Josh Evans won his first match in the 126 weight class as he picked up a 3:37 pin before falling in the next two matches. Justin Race also went 1-2 with a win by pin as Manny Hollins won by pin before falling in the next two matches by tech falls.

Noah Ackermann lost his first match, but then won by a 12-2 major decision before he was pinned in his third match. Richie Fuller went 1-2 with his lone win coming on a 3:37 pin in the 190 weight class.
