OTEGO— The Unadilla Valley and Greene Trojans volleyball teams met in the Consolation round of the MAC playoffs at Unatego High School on Tuesday night. UV earned the ninth seed and Greene as the 10th seed. Both teams battled into a five set match.

Greene defeated UV 3-2 with final scores of Greene 26-24, UV 25-22, UV 25-16, Greene 26-24, Greene 15-10.

Greene had several key players come up big with Molly Harris having great services, picking up service points, multiple aces, and some kills. Camryn Kirchbaum had some assists while adding a few aces and also helping with points off serves.

Kenzie Finnerty also had multiple digs as Libby Davidson finished with a few kills and at least two blocks to help the Trojans pick up the close victory.

UV’s Shyla Roberts led the team with 16 aces, 10 kills, and had an assist. Jade Cook finished with three aces and four assists as Piper Hine also had three aces. Madison Pierce added five aces and eight assists.

Cheyanne McMahan had two aces and two kills while Logan Cook finished with two aces.
