BAINBRIDGE – Coming off a previous meet at Bainbridge’s General Clinton Park, the combined Bainbridge-Guilford/Afton/Harpursville cross country team hosted again this past weekend, featuring local UV/GMU. The BGAH boys won the meet while the girls tied with Chenango Forks. Oneonta and Edmeston/Morris also attended the invite.
BGAH:
Boys:
The BGAH boys led the invite with the lowest of 25 points. Owen Degan led the team with a first place finish, running the fastest time of 16:56. Sean Fowler came in fourth place (18:27) with Rowan Beasinger in seventh, Ethan Beardslee in eighth, and Aiden Quick in ninth.
Jackari Garipoli just missed the top 10 with a 12th place finish with a time of 20:37. My’Kel George finished 15th and Connor Rowe had a 25th place finish.
Girls:
The BGAH girls tied with Chenango Forks to win the meet with both teams totaling 32 points. BGAH’s Maddie Farberman led all the girls with a top finish. She ran the fastest of 20:39.
Maddie Ingham ran to a fourth place finish (22:21) with teammate Jalyn Winans behind her in fifth (22:32).
Laeni Baldwin came in two spots behind Winans in seventh as Marissa Mayo finished 19th, Macey LaFever in 21st with Isabel Suda in 22nd, and Laila Williams in 26th out of 28 female runners.
UV/GMU:
Jake Favinger led the Storm with a second place finish in the boys’ race with a time of 17:53, behind BGAH’s 16:56. Dominic Berthel finished 21st out of 25 male runners with a time of 23:59.
Margaret Kemnah, Andrea Favinger, and Kathleen Pizzuto led the UV/GMU girls. Kemnah finished 13th with a time of 24:22 with Favinger behind her in 14th (24:53). Pizzuto came in 17th with a time of 25:37.
