OTEGO –– After coming back from behind against UV in a previous matchup, the Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats girls’ soccer team was the leading team from top to finish against Unatego. The Bobcats held a 1-0 lead at halftime and scored two more goals in the second half, holding the Spartans to one, to secure the 3-1 victory. The Bobcats are now 11-0 on the season.
B-G got on the board in the first 12 minutes of the first half on a goal scored by Keelan Ammon off an assist by Emma Kinter. The Bobcats also scored early in the second half on another goal from Ammon with an assist by Breanna Casey. Casey scored a goal herself with 26 minutes left in regulation off an assist by Jayslin Henderson.
Unatego scored its lone goal four minutes later to avoid the shutout.
Danica Park made seven huge saves in goal for the Bobcats with several being one vs one on breakaways.
B-G travels to Downsville on October 6 at 4:30 p.m. for a MAC league matchup against Walton/Downsville.
