BAINBRIDGE – The Bainbridge-Guilford/Afton/Harpursville cross country teams hosted its annual meet at General Clinton Park, featuring Norwich and UV/GMU and other local area teams.
BGAH swept the meet with wins for both the boys and girls.
BGAH:
Girls:
Maddie Ingham took first for the BGAH girls with the fastest time of 21:45 against 29 female runners. Teammate Madison Farberman took second with a time of 22:02 with Laeni Baldwin in fourth (22:28) and Jalyn Winans in sixth (23:01).
Laila Williams came in 14th with a time of 25:11 as Macy LaFever finished 17th with a time of 26:01. Marissa Mayo ran to a 22nd place finish with a time of 26:34 with Isabel Suda behind her in 23rd (27:20) and Michelle Petroski in 27th (30:54).
Boys:
Owen Degan led the BGAH boys with a second place finish with a time of 17:36, :02 off the leader, clocking in at 17:34. Sean Fowler ran in with a fifth place finish with a time of 18:44 as Aiden Quick finished 10th, Rowan Beasinger in 11th, and Ethan Beardslee in 12th.
Jackari Garipoli came in 15th place with a time of 20:15 while My’Kel George finished 18th, Mason Lans in 22nd, Christian Campbell in 26th, and Connor Rowe finishing 30th out of 32 male runners.
NHS:
Norwich’s Malea Sutton, Natalie Phillips, and Laci Zieno ran for the girls. Sutton and Phillips followed each other in 19th and 20th respectively as Zieno finished 28th.
Nic Sutton led the Norwich boys with a fourth place finish with a time of 18:36 and Connor Marshall finished 31st with a time of 32:19.
UV/GMU:
Margaret Kemnah, Kathleen Pizzuto, and Andrea Favinger (DNF) competed for the Storm. Kemnah led the girls with a ninth place finish with a time of 23:53 as Pizzuto finished 16th with a time of 26 minutes exactly.
Jake Favinger came away with a third place finish for the Storm boys with a time of 18:26 with Dominic Berthel in 19th (22:21).
