NORWICH – The Norwich Purple Tornado golf team returned to action at the Canasawacta Country Club, taking on Oneonta on Wednesday. Both teams battled, but it was the home team, Norwich, coming away with it 202-235.

Eighth grader Brevin Bennett led all golfers with a 35, one under the par-36. Matthew Brunick followed two strokes behind to finish with a 37. Jacob Lobdell shot a 42 with Michael Brunick behind him with a 43.

Gavin Burrell looked good with a 45 as Charlie Smith shot a 47*.

Oneonta’s scores ranged from a low 42 to a high 50.

Norwich (4-0) hosts Chenango Valley this afternoon at 4 p.m.
