“These youth work hard throughout the year preparing for the fair and all deserve our acknowledgement for a job well done,” she said.

4-H youth were also selected from the Chenango County Fair to have their art exhibits on show at the New York State Fair and Turrell said they were excited to be chosen.

Turrell said 4-H youth Maria Funk, Josie Pierce, and Amon Van Alst received ribbons of Special Recognition for their outstanding exhibits.

She noted most of the 4-H youth enjoy their experiences in growing, learning, and building lasting friendships and realize it’s not all about winning a ribbon.
