Unadilla Man Charged With Attempted Murder For Allegedly Firing Shotgun During Domestic Dispute

UNADILLA - On May 1, the New York State Police charged Seth A. Ostrander, 22, of Unadilla, with second degree attempted murder and first degree criminal use of a firearm, both Class B felonies, after an incident stemming from a domestic dispute.

New York State Police and Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a domestic disturbance on State Highway 8 in the town of Masonville.

Upon arrival, Troopers determined that a verbal argument had escalated into a physical altercation during which Ostrander discharged a shotgun in the direction of another individual. The victim was not struck by the gunfire and declined further medical treatment at the scene.

 Ostrander was taken into custody and arraigned at Delaware County Centralized Arraignment.
