SIDNEY – DCMO BOCES Board of Education President Vanessa Warren has been recognized with the Board Lifetime Achievement Award by the New York State School Boards Association. NYSSBA’s Board Excellence Recognition Program acknowledges the extensive time and effort required of school board members who continually strive to expand their knowledge and skills for better board governance. The Lifetime Achievement Award is the highest of the 4 levels.
The award was announced at the regular DCMO BOCES Board of Education meeting on Wednesday, May 14. District Superintendent Michael J. Rullo presented Warren with her plaque and acknowledged her valuable service to DCMO BOCES.
Warren was elected to the DCMO BOCES Board of Education in 2015, serving as president since 2021. She previously served on the Afton Central School Board for 17 years as a member, vice president, and president.
