ONEONTA – After a tough game against Schenevus on Monday, the Unadilla Valley Storm PONY League team traveled to Damaschke Field, home of the Oneonta Outlaws, to face the Oneonta Weaver team. Oneonta held on to a 10-7 win.

UV stayed with Oneonta with tying the game in the top half of the inning, but couldn’t hold their opponent from going back ahead in the bottom half. UV also couldn’t score in the fifth and seventh innings to make a full comeback.

UV scored seven runs on four hits with two hits from catcher Zayne Dibbell, who also scored two runs. Zack Welch and Kassen Cox each contributed with a hit.

Welch led the team with two stolen bases in the seventh inning. Welch reached on an error and was in scoring position at third with two outs, but failed to score.
