SHERBURNE — The Friends of Rogers Environmental Education Center, located at 2721 State Route 80 in Sherburne, is offering an early bird discount for their upcoming sessions of Summer Adventure Camp.

"Our current camps are based on getting the kids outdoors, using their imaginations, building up their observation skills, and having fun," explained Friends of Rogers Environmental Educator Ellen Rathbone. "They’re not the old fashioned DEC camp where we will be doing fishing, we will be doing canoeing, we will be doing all these traditional DEC outdoor activities. So these are a little bit broader in scope. We may include fishing in one or two sessions, but every one is not going to be like that."

Camp is split up into week-long themed sessions, with sessions available for four to six year olds, seven to 11 year olds, and 12 to 15 year olds.
