NORWICH – The City of Norwich Police Department is investigating the death of an elderly woman after her body was discovered Wednesday night and are treating the incident as a possible crime.

Norwich Police Chief Reuben Roach confirmed Thursday morning that a death investigation at a residence at 12 Columbia Street was being treated as suspicious and police have not ruled out homicide.
