HARPURSVILLE – After defeating Harpursville in a close game to start the season, the Afton Crimson Knights baseball team faced them again on Thursday, coming away with a big 16-0 victory. This success comes after a tough loss to Unatego/Franklin. Afton made sure their bats were strong in this one and took control of the Hornets’ mishaps while Justin Reeves and Braydon Baciuska were dominant on the mound.

Afton went straight to work in the top of the first inning, plating five runs. Ryan Wright led-off with a walk before stealing second and making it to third on a wild pitch. He also scored on a wild pitch during Baciuska’s at-bat. Baciuska and Matt Carmen followed with walks as well. Baciuska got in scoring position by stealing second and third and scored on a wild pitch. Carmen came around to score on Justin Reeves’ RBI single. Reeves led the team with three hits, three RBIs, and finished with three stolen bases. Tim Barnett stole four bases to lead the team overall.
