ONEONTA — The South Otselic Post 973 American Legion team traveled to Oneonta to take on the Green Wave on Tuesday, falling 12-2.
South Otselic was held to just two runs on two hits in the contest.
Oliver Marshall helped lead Otselic's offense going 1 for 2 with a double, a walk, and recording a run scored. Lukas Schieferstein added a triple as well as a stolen base. Caleb Loomis and Troy Miller scored the team’s two runs. South Otselic showed great confidence at the plate, drawing five walks in the process.
Logan Lounsberry started on the mound for South Otselic, pitching five innings, allowing nine runs (six earned) on six hits, three walks, and recorded one strikeout. Troy Miller followed, allowing three runs (one earned) on two hits, a walk, and one strikeout.
South Otselic Post 973 (4-5) looks to split the series with Oneonta when they host them Thursday at 6 p.m.
