SHERBURNE– On Thursday, the Sherburne-Earlville Marauders looked to snap a two-game losing streak as they hosted Saquoit Valley. S-E took a big lead at halftime, but the Indians were able to make a second half comeback to win 60-56.

S-E led 32-22 at halftime with 21 points scored in the second quarter. 12 of those second quarter points came from Dilen Maceda off the bench while Jack Rodman had a total of 10 points in the first half.

The Marauders came back out on a high note as Rodman scored back-to-back baskets to start the second half. S-E held a good lead up until late in the fourth quarter. Saquoit Valley inched closer and finally went on top to take control and win the game.

The Indians’ Donovan Nelson could not be stopped as he carried his team with 34 points. James Henck was behind him with 13. S-E’s Jack Rodman finished with 21 points while Maceda had 13 in the loss.

S-E (1-4) will host Clinton on Monday at 7 p.m.
