Testani named President & CEO of Commerce Chenango Salvatore (Sal) Testani

NORWICH – The Board of Directors of Commerce Chenango is excited to announce the selection of Salvatore (Sal) Testani as the organization’s new president and chief executive officer.

“Sal brings extensive leadership, sales, marketing and expansion experience to our organization and, with many exciting projects on the horizon for Commerce Chenango, we could not be more excited that he has accepted the position,” said Commerce Chenango Board Chair Julia Miller.

“The boards of all our organizations are working more in sync than ever and we can’t wait to see the direction our organization goes in 2023 and beyond.”

Testani, a Norwich native and experienced business leader, will assume his new role on November 1.

According to Miller, it was a combination of Testani’s more than 16 years of experience as a senior leader with both MeadWestvaco and ACCO Brands - and his deep roots in the Chenango County community - which led the board to offer him the business advocacy organization’s top leadership role.

“Sal’s professional accomplishments are exceptional,” she said. “We are confident he will move the Commerce Chenango organization forward with his strong communications and leadership skills, financial and business acumen, staff development expertise and the ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with Commerce Chenango partners.”
