GREENE – On Thursday evening, two tough teams went into a matchup that neither one came out on top. The Greene Trojans and the Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats ended in a 1-1 tie after double overtime, showing how competitive both programs have been all season.

BG got on the board first as Julian Pruskowksi netted a goal from a 20 yards shot just before halftime.

It was 1-0 until 22:19 left in the second half when Greene answered back on Kloden Rapp’s finish in front of the net against goalie Collin Dicks.

Both teams put up about equal shots as Greene had 15 and BG 11. But, neither team could convert on them as both goalies stood their ground. Trojans’ goalie Tony Sergi saved six shots while Dicks saved nine.

Greene hosts Seton Catholic on Saturday at 11 a.m. while BG will be hosting UV/GMU Saturday at noon.
