Oxford Picks Up Third Win Of The Season

Oxford 59, Afton 21

OXFORD - Oxford held Afton to one basket or less in three of the four quarters, as it grabbed is third win of the season at home on Thursday evening.

Ethan Fleury, Donovan Rickard, and John Rovente combined for 47 of the Blackhawks' points in the victory.

Fleury scored 18, Rickard 16, and Rovente 13.

Fleury hit both of his 3s in and eight-point third quarter that extended Oxford's lead to 43-19 over the Crimson Knights.

Unadilla Valley 42, Cooperstown 40

COOPERSTOWN - Unadilla Valley halted a recent losing streak as a depleted Storm roster received 17 points from Zach Smith in Thursday's road victory.

Smith did his best work in the middle two periods scoring 13 of his points. It was in the third quarter that UV grabbed a one-point lead, 32-31.

In the fourth quarter, UV's Trason Murray canned two of his three three-pointers to hold off the host Hawkeyes.

New York Mills 40, Otselic Valley 12

SOUTH OTSELIC - Jenna Jordan was red-hot out of the gate for New York Mills in Thursday's win over Otselic Valley.

Jordan finished with a game-high 21 points, but 16 of those came in the opening two periods lifting her club to a 22-7 advantage.

Tori Foster and Madison Bartlett each scored five points for OV.

Norwich 48, Oneonta 30

NORWICH - Norwich's return to the mats after a two-week hiatus was a successful one as the Tornado matmen secured their fifth win of the season over Oneonta on Thursday evening.

Regan Roach (132) gave Norwich the 12-6 lead with a pin over Nolan Stark, and he was followed by wins from teammates Brady Smith (145) and Ashton Jenkins (160) - both by pins - that put Norwich in the lead for good.

Rob McIntyre (215) put a bow on the Norwich victory with a pin over Jaden Bellisimo, and Maverick Beckwith (102) added another victory by pinfall for the Purple.
