Chenango County Health Department Releases COVID-19 Vaccine Update

CHENANGO COUNTY – The following information is from the Chenango County Health Department.

Number of first vaccine doses given last week: 182. Number of second vaccine doses given last week: 102.

Total doses given by local department to date: about 1,192.

This week the county health department anticipates receiving 200 doses. Distribution of of those vaccine doses will go to more 1A and 1B priority groups that have been identified by the New York State Health Department

Note, vaccine supply is still very limited. The department has seven days to distribute any vaccine they receive.

“Currently, we do NOT have a waiting list for those under age 65 with comorbidities or underlying health conditions. Please do not contact us to be on a wait list. As soon as we have vaccine beyond the 1A and 1B groups, we will notify the public,” reported the department.

“Although specific comorbidities and underlying medical conditions will make more individuals eligible on February 15, we do not have a vaccine supply for this group yet and do not have a waiting list at this time.”
