NY State Sends Chenango County No Vaccines This Week

CHENANGO – Starting Jan. 26 the Chenango County Health Department will be providing weekly vaccination updates. This update will be available through the department’s media partners as well as on the department's social media accounts.

Currently 615 vaccine doses have been administered by the Chenango County Health Department.

Vaccines so far administered by the health department include:

Group 1A; Forward facing medical workers: 63 doses.

Group 1B; law enforcement, fire, and EMS: 102 doses.

Adult care and developmental disabilities facilities: 230 doses.

Those over the age of 65 at the clinic at Broad Street Methodist Church: 220 doses.

Total doses coordinated by the Heath Department: 615 doses.

Supplemental doses given by community partners: Bartle’s Pharmacy, to those 65 and older and on the wait list: 250 doses.

The health department requested 600 doses but received none from New York State this week and will be unable to offer any additional vaccines in the near future.

“The vaccine supply is still very limited. We did not get any supply this week. We have seven days to distribute any vaccine that we do receive,” reported Public Health Spokesman Isaiah Sutton.
