NORWICH – In continued appreciation of its hometown friends and neighbors, especially during this challenging year, Chobani is hosting its 6th Annual Community Giveaway at the Chenango County Fairgrounds.

This year’s event will be held on Saturday, December 5, 10 a.m. to noon (while supplies last). It will be a contact-less, drive-thru-only event. NY health officials have requested all attendees wear masks during the event.

COVID-19 safety precautions will also be in place this year. In support of the statewide health and safety measures to combat COVID-19, Chobani is relocating the event to the Chenango County Fairgrounds in Norwich, a more spacious outdoor venue.

Every December, the company hands out holiday cheer and 5,000 free cases of Chobani products as a thank you gift to local residents.

“We fully support all measures being taken to keep our community safe during a global pandemic and want to do our part to ensure the well-being of our employees and the public,” said Alyson Oüten, Director of Community Relations. “Giving back helps enrich the communities we call home and bring better food to more people. And just as importantly, the county fairgrounds location will allow patrons to stay safely in the comfort of their vehicles while our employee volunteers place yogurt in the trunk.”
