NORWICH – Jordan Jacquette, Norwich’s ace on the mound, tossed his second no-hitter of Otsenango Pony League season as he and the rest of the team topped Unadilla Valley 17-0 on Tuesday.

Jacquette pitched the full five innings of the game that were played, striking out seven UV batters with zero hits and runs tallied against him.

Unadilla Valley did see base runners throughout the contest as Jacquette walked five. Drew Emrich of UV reached the base paths twice in the contest, making the most of his three trips to the plate.

Teammates Gavin Bonczkowski, Owen Hill and Jacob Figger accounted for the other three walks.

In their first plate appearance, Norwich took a 4-0 lead. In the second inning, the home team extended their lead by tacking on another 10 runs.

Helping Norwich were the unfortunate errors made by the UV fielders. Throughout the contest, Unadilla Valley recorded five, allowing eight of Norwich’s runs to score.
