Greene lays it all out on the line in tough loss on senior night

GREENE – A mere 10 set points is all that separated Greene’s volleyball team from a win on senior night. Instead the score showed Walton with the 3-1 win.

“Really close games,” said Greene head coach Mary McBride.

Prior to the first serve on Wednesday, Greene honored their five graduating seniors – Brook VanEtten, Cheyenne Rich, Courtnay Pratt, Mackenzie Lawrence, and Kira Bush.

The very first set, set the tone for the night with extra points being needed to decide the outcome.

Greene would battle to within two points, but Walton claimed the win at 26-24.

The lady Warriors snuck a four point, 25-21 win in for set two – taking the lead to 2-0.

Win or go home, Greene’s feisty 2017 squad took the fans and Walton by storm for a 25-23 win in set three.
