WINDSOR — The Norwich Purple Tornado golf team faced off against Windsor on the road on Monday, coming up just short with a 216-219 deficit.

“ We are young and make a lot of basic mistakes,” Coach Dave Branham said. “Hopefully we can learn from our mistakes tonight and be stronger in our future matches.”

Brevin Bennett led Norwich with a 37 with Matthew Brunick following with a 41. Jacob Lobdell chipped in a 44 as Kinnon Bennett shot a 48 and Charlie Smith with a 49. Payne Skillin finished as the team’s sixth golfer.

Norwich (5-1) hosts Johnson City this afternoon at 4 p.m.
