DEPOSIT – Bainbridge-Guilford varsity softball would earn a fourth seed in the MAC Mini Tournament, ultimately meaning an away showdown against top seeded Deposit.

BG traveled to deposit in hopes of reaching the championship for the tournament, but fell short when their batters simply could not connect with the ball, losing 10-1.

BG did a fantastic job at limiting the runs earned of Deposit throughout the game, seeing their worst inning only come in the fifth inning with Deposit scoring four runs.

Deposit would jump on the board with a 5-0 lead over BG, with two runs scored in the second inning and three in the third, heading into the big fifth inning.

Errors on Deposits side, gave BG chances to capitalize in the contest, something they simply could not accomplish, earning their lone run on the night in the seventh inning.

BG's Alyssa Hovey would reach home plate from third base in top of the seventh.
