Norwich 16, Edmeston 3

NORWICH – Norwich busted open its Otsenango Pony League playoff game with Edmeston Thursday scoring 13 runs over the final two innings to advance to the league semifinals.

"Pretty much everyone hit, and everyone was putting the ball in play," said Norwich coach Nick McCullough, whose club scored six runs in the fifth, and seven more in the seventh.

Norwich led 3-0 after two innings on the strength of Mike Trevisani's two-run single. Edmeston chopped the margin to one with two runs in the fifth, however, Norwich answered right back. "Sometimes it takes a while for us to get going, but once we get the momentum, we run with it," McCullough said.
