Local Churches To Hold Special Evening Of Entertainment Tonight In East Park
Published: June 14th, 2013

NORWICH – Helping others ... that is what the Norwich Food Pantry and Roots & Wings do. And with the school year ending, many more families will be needing help as their children will not be receiving the breakfast and lunch programs that school provides.

As such, the United Methodist Churches of Plymouth, North Norwich and Preston are coordinating an event to raise awareness (and funds) for the Norwich Food Pantries.

Tonight, East Side Park in Norwich, there will be an evening of musical entertainment. The event will begin around 5 p.m. (give or take set up time) and include several groups of (but not limited to) Christian music.

The band Faithful Folk, led by the Rev. Tobias Anderson, Pastor of the Redeemer Lutheran Church of New Paltz, NY, is the featured musical group.

A singing group, The Remants, will perform some contemporary Christian music, while guitar soloist Emilee Smith – who writes a lot of her own songs – will perform.

Guitar soloist Austin Friot is expected to perform as well. The Baptist Church and the Norwich Diner will have restrooms available to the public.
