NYSP look to ID woman who failed to pay for $830 worth of items at Norwich Walmart New York State Police at Norwich are looking to identify a woman who on July 30, 2026, at approximately 1:48 p.m., entered Walmart in Norwich, used self-checkout, scanned a few items but allegedly left with approximately $830 worth of items that had not been scanned or paid for. NORWICH- New York State Police at Norwich are looking to identify a woman who on July 30, 2026, at approximately 1:48 p.m., entered Walmart in Norwich, used self-checkout, scanned a few items but allegedly left with approximately $830 worth of items that had not been scanned or paid for. She left Walmart at approximately 2:13 p.m. 

An associate did stop the woman to inspect her receipt; she showed what is believed to be an old crumbled up receipt from a distance and continued walking out of the store with the cart full of items.  The items included toys, electronics items, and household items.

The woman was accompanied by a male at one point, although he was not observed leaving the store with any merchandise.  Both were seen getting into a silver or gray sedan of an unknown make or model.
