Holy Family School dedicates new elevator

NORWICH – On Thursday, Holy Family School celebrated the first ride in their new elevator. The school is now completely accessible to everyone, thanks to the generosity of many donors, particularly The RC Smith Foundation, the Follett Foundation, George Carnrike Jr. and donors to Holy Family’s Annual Fund.

Fr. Cunningham led the event by offering a few words about Robert Smith, the major donor behind the effort to install the lift. Smith graduated from St. Paul’s School in 1937 and, after finishing his education, lived and worked in Norwich. A quiet man who didn’t seek recognition, he was very dedicated to assisting his parish, school and the community.
