Perry Browne rocks in celebration of new year

NORWICH – Students held the purple ribbon taught as Superintendent Gerard O’Sullivan, Board of Education Member Perry Owen and Building Principal Jen Post wielded a pair of super-sized scissors as Perry Browne Intermediate School celebrated the start of the new school year with a ceremonial ribbon cutting at 1 p.m. yesterday.

The brief ceremony featured speaches by both O’Sullivan and Post, after which the new principal showed off her guitar playing skills by leading the crowd in a sing-a-long of “Get Together” by the Youngbloods.
