Norwich Softball Falls To Owego

OWEGO – The Norwich Purple Tornado softball team traveled to Owego on Tuesday and suffered a 15-1 deficit. Norwich plated its only run on an error following Shaelyn Rice’s single, which sent Loralee Brown home. Brown, Rice, and Caitlin Wetterhahn all had one hit each in the loss.

Zayley Thomas reached base on a fielder’s choice and stole second. Wetterhahn pitched four innings and struck out one batter.

Norwich (1-15) heads home to face Chenango Valley at 5 p.m Thursday before playing Seton Catholic in their final regular season game on Friday at the same time and place.
