Ruth Phillips


MADISON – Ruth E. Phillips, 73, of Quarterline Rd., passed away Friday, Nov. 2, 2007 at Community Memorial Hospital, Hamilton.
She was born April 7, 1934 in Norwich, a daughter of the late Clifton and Dorothy Fry Stewart and received her education in local schools. Ruth was married to Donald F. Phillips in Georgetown who predeceased her in 2003. Ruth was a member of the congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Hamilton.
Surviving are three daughters and a son-in-law, Millie Crawford of Norwich; Kathy and Dean DeGroat and Donna Phillips, all of Madison; a brother and sister-in-law, Lee and Miriam Stewart of Hamilton; a sister and brother-in-law, Sandy and Charlie Jeffrey of Sherburne; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her step-mother, Elizabeth Stewart in 2001.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Route 26, Eaton.
Burial in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Otselic, will be at the convenience of the family.
There will be no calling hours.
Contributions in her memory may be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Route 26, Eaton, NY 13334.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 25 Broad St., Hamilton, NY.
