HARRISBURG, Pa. - Marie F. Turnbull, 71, of Harrisburg, Pa., died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2007 in the M. S. Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, Pa.
She was born Sept. 16, 1936 in Sherburne, a daughter of the late Santi and Ruby (Palmer) Sharki.
Marie was a retired floor supervisor for Wal-Mart and a former employee of Contel Telephone Company. She was a member of the Columbus Community Church in Columbus; enjoyed square dancing, traveling, crafts, and had also been involved in scouting.
Surviving are her husband, James S. Turnbull; daughters, Dawn and Kelly; sons Vince and Scott; step-children, Mike and Nancy; sister, Theresa and 6 grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by a son, Lonn.
Services were held Friday, Oct. 19 at 1 p.m. in the Hoover Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Route #422 & Lucy Avenue, Hershey. Friends called Friday at the funeral home 1 hour prior to the service. Entombment was in the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg, Pa.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association, 4999 Louise Drive, Suite 104, Mechanicsburg, Pa. 17055 or to the American Diabetes Association, 3544 N. Progress Avenue, Harrisburg, Pa. 17110.
There will be a Memorial Service at Columbus Community Church on Saturday, Nov. 17 at 1 p.m.
