NORWICH – William H. Lindsey, 77, of Grace View Manor, formerly of Guilford passed away July 9, 2006 at Valley View Manor, Norwich. 
He was born on January 17, 1929 in Johnson City. On May 16, 1980 he married Janice Fuller, who survives.
Besides his wife, Janice of Norwich he is survived by his daughters, Willa and Leon Sills of Okeechobee, Fla. and Lisa Ackerson and Al Lester of Norwich; his nephew, David and Cherokee Lindsey and his niece, Susan and Dale Smith.  Four grandchildren, six great grandchildren and several great nieces and great nephews also survive. His daughter Lori Crandall and his brother Robert Lindsey predeceased him.
Bill was a long time member of the Guilford United Methodist Church and was very active in their dinners and barbeques. He retired from Amphenol Corp. after 38 years of service. He enjoyed vegetable gardening and golfing at Way Back of Sundown Golf Course.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Behe Funeral Home, 21 Main St., Oxford with the Rev. Paul C. Amara, pastor of his church, officiating.  Burial will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Guilford.
Friends may call at the Behe Funeral Home, Oxford on Tuesday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at 3 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Guilford United Methodist Church.
