Aubrey Fuller


 SMYRNA – Aubrey I. Fuller, 75, of County Rt. 20, passed away Sunday, Oct. 7, 2007 at his home.
He was born June 11, 1932 in Hamilton, a son of Herbert and Iva Duell Fuller, and was a graduate of Sherburne High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Army for three years and served in the Korean Conflict. On July 4, 1954, Aubrey married Marilyn Crouch in Smyrna. He worked for TACO in Sherburne for a short time, and then for Unison, (formerly GLA and BF Goodrich) in Norwich, for 38 years until retiring in 1995.
Aubrey was a 50-year member of the Smyrna Fire Department, a charter member of the Smyrna Emergency Squad, was a first aid and EMT instructor, and in 2004, received the lifetime service award. He was also a member of the United Church of Christ in Sherburne; the American Legion Post #876 of Sherburne, and was a Boy Scout Leader for Troop #76 of Smyrna for many years. He was a 20-year member of the Broken Squares dancing club and Ken’s Twirly Vine round dancing club.
Surviving is his wife, Marilyn; four children and their spouses: Greg and Shelley Fuller of Sherburne; Randy Fuller of Williamsville; Shelley and Ken Sheldon of Elon, N.C.; Deanne and Aaron Bigford of Earlville; nine grandchildren, Jonathan Fuller and his fiancée, Betsy Stambach of Clifton Park; Christopher Fuller of Buffalo; Michael Fuller of East Amherst; Miranda Bigford of Georgetown; Brian Fuller of East Amherst; Patrick Sheldon and Phillip Sheldon, both of Elon, N.C.; and Mackenzie and Macie Bigford both of Earlville; a great-grandson, Noah Bigford of Georgetown; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Hartley and Joyce Ann Fuller of Smyrna and Jerry Fuller of Tucson, Ariz.; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Mary Symonds of Norwich; Edna and Donald Buddle of Sherburne; and many special nieces and nephews and their families.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday from the United Church of Christ, Sherburne, followed by interment in Sherburne West Hill Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne.
