Phillip Wheaton


BAINBRIDGE – Phillip L. Wheaton, 81, of Bainbridge, passed away early Saturday morning, Oct. 6, 2007, at the home of his daughter.
Born in Painted Post in January of 1926, Phillip was the son of Ulysses Grant and Luella Thompson Wheaton. He was a carpenter and mason by trade, working for various construction firms. Phillip was a World War II Naval veteran serving on the USS Ralph Talbot. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the out doors.
Phillip is survived by his children Connie (David) Blackman, Bainbridge, William Wheaton and companion Annette Barton, Guilford, Phillip (Cathy) Wheaton, Allentown, Pa., and Pamela (Terry) Clark, Port Crane; 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Funeral services for Phillip will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday from the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home, Norwich, with the Rev. Jeremy Stopford officiating.
Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Oxford.
There will be no calling hours.
